Services held for Mrs. Ida M. Smith

MT. OLIVE - Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home chapel for Mrs. Ida M. Smith, 92, of Rt. 4, Mt. Olive, who died Monday at Magee General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

The Rev. Wardell Kennedy officiated with the Rev. Carl Underhill and the Rev. Joe Kelly assisting. Interment was in Coat Cemetery.

A native of Simpson County, Mrs. Smith was a member of Coat Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jim A. Smith; four sons, Vyron Smith of Magee, James, Basil and Shelton Smith, all of Mt. Olive; three daughters, Mrs. James Kennedy and Mrs. Estus Kennedy, both of Magee, and Mrs. J. D. Orman of Hattiesburg; 23 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a half-brother, Scott McInnis of Magee; and a half-sister, Mrs. Junior Fortenberry of Magee. ^[1]
