George was born about 1798 in Madison County, New York to Peter McIntyre and Hannah Beardsley. He married 14 Mar 1820 Betsy Williams, daughter of Thomas Williams and Polly Grant. Their children were: Frelove, George W. Jr., Maria, Laura, Thomas, Lucy, and Betsy. George's wife, Betsy died in Erie County, New York in 1861. George remarried at age 67 on 16 Jun 1865 Sarah Crabb in Berrien County, Michigan. He died 3 Sep 1868 in Berrien County, Michigan and was buried in Boyer Cemetery, Bainbridge Center.
