BIOGRAPHY

John was a Tennessee Farmer

John Pink McIntyre was born as the illegitimate son of Milly Patridge in McNairy County, Tennessee 12 March 1868.

He is first recorded in the 1870 census in the household of his alleged great-grandparents, Richard and Anna Stiles Horn. He is recorded as Pinkney Patridge (indexed at ancestry as Pinkney Milley). He is two years of age. His mother, Milly Patridge (indexed as Patridge Milley) is also living in the household.[1]

The 1880 census finds him in the same neighborhood living with Anthony M. McIntire and his wife, Mary P. Williams McIntire and their three children. IN addition to Pinkney Patridge, age 9, there is a John Patridge, age 19 in the household. Neither John nor Pinkney Patridge has a relationship recorded to Anthony McIntire.[2]

John P. McIntire married Jennie Cooksey (recorded as Nannie Cooksey) in 1885 by P.A. Brown, who was a Methodist Minister.[3]

McNairy County, Tennessee Deed Book Z indicates Sarah Tull sold her 119 acres, (acquired in 1897 by auction) by Promissory Notes on August 18, 1900. [4].

In April of 1901, John P. McIntire and his wife, Jennie, quit Claim the deed back to Sarah Tull. [5] Quit Claim Deed from John P. and Jennie McIntire back to Sarah Tull.

In the 1910 census John (age 47), Farmer, was the married head of household in Civil District 2, McNairy, Tennessee, United States.[6]

His death certificate records the following information: John Pink McIntyre, died 31 Dec 1957, white, male, widowed; born March 1864 in Tennessee. Occupation: Farmer.

Father: John P. McIntyre, Mother: Millie Parrott. My Father pronounced her surname as "Pattage" and I couldn't figure out the name. The informant for John's death certificate was his daughter, Mary Tull, Bethel Springs, R#2.

Burial at Moore Cemetery in McNairy County, Tennessee with Shackelford of Selmer, Tennessee recorded as the funeral director.[12]

John was mentioned on a memorial in Moores Schoolhouse Church Cemetery, Bethel Springs, McNairy County, Tennessee, United States with a death date of 31 December 1957.[13]
