"'Bloomville Has a Romance.'
C. W. McKee, a prominent young man of Bloomville, and Miss Hershizer, of Cleveland, were married at Cleveland Wednesday. They departed for Florida, where they will spend a month, after which they will make Bloomville their home with the groom's mother.
The wedding is the outgrowth of a pretty romance, according to the story told by some of the friends of the young people.
Mrs. McKee is a professional nurse, and the two first met when he was ill in a Cleveland hospital. She nursed him to health, and later when the young man's mother was ill at the same hospital, she was the ministering angel who cared for the invalid. Under the circumstances an attachment between the two sprung up, which culminated in the happy affair of last night.
Mr. McKee is the agent of the Pennsylvania railroad at Bloomville, and is well known to many in Tiffin."

"'Former Rail Agent At Bloomville Dies'
Charles W. McKee, of Huntington, Ind., former agent for the Pennsylvania railroad at Bloomville, died Wednesday in Huntington. Mr. McKee was also connected for a time with the France Stone Co., at Bloomville. His widow survives.
The body is to be brought to Bloomville about 1 p. m. Friday for burial in Woodlawn cemetery."

An obit I ordered a few years later from the Hayes Presidential Library provided a bit more clarity -
"'C. W. McKee Is Interred In Bloomville'
The body of Charles W. McKee, who died in the Battle Creek sanitarium in Battle Creek, Mich., on Tuesday of last week was brought to Bloomville for burial Friday afternoon from Huntington, Ind. The services at Woodlawn cemetery were conducted by Rev. R. E. Eshmeyer of the Bloomville Evangelical and Reformed church. Mr. McKee, who was formerly a prominent young man in Bloomville, was for years connected with the depot of the Pennsylvania railroad where his father, T. F. McKee, was the agent; later the son himself became agent after the death of his father. He still later was associated with the France Co. before leaving Bloomville in 1903. Those who accompanied the body from Huntington to Bloomville last Friday included the widow, Mrs. Emma M. McKee of Huntington, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. McKee of Slaton, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. William Boggs and William Balzhiser of Cleveland, and Mrs. A. S. Armstrong of Beloit, Ohio. The Huntington Herald-Press of Wednesday had the following to say of Mr. McKee:
Charles W. McKee, aged 66, 1055 North Jefferson street, prominent Huntington resident, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Battle Creek sanitarium at Battle Creek, Mich., where he had been taken October 30. He had been ailing for some time with complications. Mr. McKee was born April 8, 1873 at Loudonville, O., to Thomas and Florence McKee and was married to Emma M. Balzier January 7, 1903 in Cleveland, O. No children were born to the union. Mr. McKee learned the telegraph code from his father when a boy and was on the payroll of the Pennsylvania railroad at the age of nine. He later was a telegraph operator and agent for the railroad. At the age of 16 he became associated as a salesman and quarry manager, and in 1904, a year after his marriage, the couple came to Huntington where Mr. McKee organized the France Stone company, which later became the Erie Stone company. About a month ago the France company again took over operations of the Erie Stone company, and at that time Mr. McKee expressed his wish of recuperating enough to again manage the local plant. Besides his connection with the Huntington Stone plant, Mr. McKee also organized and was in charge of plants at Bluffton and Logansport for a time. He partly retired in 1939 but remained active in some of the sales work of the France company. Prior to going to the Battle Creek institution, he had gone to clinics and sanitariums at Martinsville, Ind, Fort Wayne and Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Mr. McKee was worshipful master of the Masonic lodge at Bloomville, O., and at the time of his election was the youngest worshipful master in the state of Ohio. He was a member of the Elks lodge and Rotary club of this city and was a member and trustee of the First Presbyterian church. Surviving are the widow, one brother, Harry McKee, Slaton, Texas; three nephews and nieces, Robert, Betty and John McKee, Slaton, Texas, and three cousins. Services were held at 3 p. m. Thursday at the W. R. Briggs funeral home in Hutchinson with the Rev. D. R. Hutchinson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, and the Rev. John Paul Pack, pastor of the Central Christian church, officiating."
