Rebecca's father wrote his will on 24 Mar 1805 but didn't die until 1814 (WP 21 Jun 1814). Rebecca was not mentioned in her father's will, so we assume she was born after 1805. By the 1810 census of Washington Co, VA, three more children had been added to the ten mentioned in the will -- 2 girls and 1 boy. Her sister Eliza was probably born about 1806 and her brother Alexander in 1810 before the census was taken. Rebecca then was probably born about 1809. There is some discussion as to the parents of Rebecca, whether they be McKees or Larimers. Alexander McKee's will (WP 22 July 1839) lists these siblings: James, sister Ann Speaks, and the orphans of sisters Jinny (Jane) Jones and Rebecca Jamison. This clearly puts her in the family of Andrew and Elizabeth McKee.
