Andrew was born some time between about 1760 and 1766.
Andrew was recorded as the grantee of 228 acres at Branch Middle Fork Holston River on 5 May 1789 in the Washington county , Minutes of the County Court. [1]
Andrew wrote a will in 1805 that names his wife Elizabeth, 4 sons, and 6 daughters.[2]
He passed away in 1814.
Research Notes
Online genealogy file gives birth as 1766 in Glouchester County, Virginia with parents as Andrew McKee and Mother Martha McCamm.[3] However, if he was having children as early as 1783 then he would have been only 17 at that time.
Andrew's will lists 4 sons James, William Edward and Andrew. It would be reasonable to think they were listed in age as it also mentions "when the youngest comes of age". It would appear James was born in 1791 based on his 1830 census age data. His brother William's FAG memorial page has him born in 1783 but there is no gravestone image to collaborate that. The daughters are listed as Sally, Mary, Ann, Charity, Jain and Elizabeth do not appear to be listed in age either so have assumed the brothers are not as well.
