DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
Hello Pat, this is my grandfather (it was Lionel Road, Eltham by the way). I grew up in Eltham too and remember dangling from his knee in a scary version of "There goes the seargent major". This is obviously a case of merging your info and mine. I have another merge with Peter Ridley, who is a relative of my grandfather's later wife Elsie Rose Ridley (my grandmother). I have pictures of him in his uniform. I would be very happy to hear from you.
