Mrs. Phyllis Kathrine Brown, 69, of 611 E. Fourth St., Oil City, died at 4:16p.m. Thursday [21 November 1985] in the Oil City Area Health Center where she was admitted Nov. 19.
Mrs. Brown provided home care for the elderly for 20 years and had lived in Oil CIty since 1962, moving there from Franklin RD2.
She attended the Congress Hill Church of God as well as the Second Presbyterian Church of Oil CIty and was a member of the Senior Citizens Center of Oil City where she sang with the "Happy Notes."
Her husband, Glenn Brown, died May 26, 1980.
She is survived by two sons, William Brown of Franklin and Thomas Brown of Oil City.; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Glenna-Rae) Hall of Meadville, Mrs. Monty (Frances) Miller of Venus and Mrs. William (Julie) Cunningham of Oil City; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are five sister, Mrs. Wallace (Rachel) Kebert [sic] of Meadville, Mrs. Wayne (Lillian) Daugherty of Franklin, Mrs. Donald (Mary) Miller of Hannaville, Mrs. Louis (Lila) Steck of Kentucky and Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Frantz of Wyattville; and two brothers, John McKinley of Greenville and James McKinley of Denver, Colo.
A sister and a brother are deceased.
Friends will be received in the Louis H. Osenider Funeral Home, Oil City, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Lloyd Harlan, pastor of the Congress Hill Church of God, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Shaw Farm Cemetery. [6]
