Oh, Thank You! The Family Group Sheet tool is what I was talking about wishing wiki tree had. I guess I haven't explored enough. Thank You!

I'm not convinced that there's any foolproof way to avoid confusing generations in a family, since I've demonstrated my ability to get my ancestors confused in just about any data entry or data display mode I happen to be using.

In WikiTree, I've found that the Ancestors button and the Descendants button can be helpful for getting oriented within the family. There's also a Family Group Sheet tool under Family Tree and Tools -- for example, this woman's sheet is https://www.wikitree.com/treewidget/McKinney-1618/300

It would help if it was possible to view the family sheet as in Family Tree software. That isn't a possibility with wiki tree. That is one of the problems I have with checking dates etc. on Wikitree.

Think somethings are not correct here?

Cannot find records of Sarah 'Sally' McKinney(1809-1887) that was married to John Clarkston being married to William Ingram?? This Sarah Sally McKinneys' parents were William McKinney 1790-1858, and Mary Roman 1790-1860.
      • Sarah Sally McKinney 1809-1887, parents are Wm Mckinney + Mary Roman

Mckinney-4480 and McKinney-1618 are connected to the same husband (Clarkston), but their life dates suggest that they belong to two completely different generations. If these are two different women from different generations of the family, it looks like maybe the older one was married to Ingram and the younger one was married to Clarkston.
