Jane (McKenzie) McNamara was born in Ireland.

Jane was born some time before her baptism on 14 March 1841 in Kilnamartyra, Cork, Ireland. She was the daughter of Archie McKenzie and Elizabeth Brown.^[1]

In 1861 Jane was recorded as a 19 year old living with her parents and younger siblings at Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, Wales. Also recorded at the same location was Dan McNamara age 18 of Ireland.^[2][3]

In 1861 in Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorganshire, Wales Jane married Daniel McNamara.^[4]
