JOHN McKNIGHT, DUNBOYNE, DEAD
John McKnight, a well-known and highly esteemed farmer in the Dunboyne district, died at his home on the 3rd concession on Tuesday after a year’s illness. He was in his 71st year. The departed man was a son of the late Martin McKnight and Catherine Crowley, pioneer residents of Dunboyne. Mr. McKnight lived all his life on the homestead. He was a devout member of the Dunboyne United Church. Besides his wife, the former Miss Cora Jones, Mr. McKnight is survived by one daughter, Gwendolyn, at home; two brothers, Michael of Aylmer; Thomas of Middlemarch, and several nieces and nephews. The remains are resting at the George A. Allen Funeral Home in Aylmer where services will be held Thursday afternoon, June 19, at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Aylmer cemetery. Rev. C. C. Strachan will officiate. buried in Aylmer cemetery
