Biography

Sarah Joriah[1] McLemore was born in 1806 in Tennessee, likely in Bedford County like her sister Elizabeth. The McLemore family owned land along Duck River. Sarah appears on the 1850 census [2] but not the 1860 census. She died before Jun 05, 1859, as this is the date her husband remarried.

When she was 13, she married John J. Sellers, son of Andrew Sellers, between 1819–1820 in Perry County, Mississippi.

Sarah Joriah McLemore lived in Jones County, Mississippi, USA in 1850 (Age: 44).

She is buried in an unmarked grave in Jones County, Mississippi (Eastabuchie Cemetery). [3] [4]
