Biography
Elizabeth Dorothea "Dora" McLain was born in 1828 in Pennsylvania to parents Lazarus Brown McLain and Anna Catherine Hartman. Her family migrated to Colorado around 1860 and she was married shortly thereafter to Andrew Sagendorf. A marriage record has not yet been located.
The couple had at least three children; William Louis b 1864 and is buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Denver, CO
Andrew Herman b 6 Mar 1866 and appears in the 1880 Colorado Springs census. In 1891 married Nelly Maude Van Nordstrand and divorced before 1910. He was a machinist and died 1928.
Thomas b c 1867 and appears in the 1870 Denver census. Since Thomas does not appear in the 1880 census, it's possible he died before 1880.
Dora passed away in 1894 and is buried in the Riverside Cemetery alongside her husband who died in 1912.
