Biography

Cora Scott was a woman of remarkable strength and drive. It was said that she was the inspiration behind the success of her husband Jeff Scott.

Cora was born in 1876. She was the daughter of Alex McLaughlin and Julia McLaughlin.[1]

She married Jefferson Scott on 26 December 1895 in Perry County, Alabama.[2] In 1900 they had 3 children, Sid, Delia and Obie.[3] They had 3 more children by 1910, Neal, Emmie and Herman.[4]

She passed away in 1920. She was buried in Mount Zion Cemetery in North Perry.[5]
