In the 1870 census Cathrine (age 48), Keeping House, was in Stewartsville, Richmond, North Carolina.[6]
They were living in Northern division of Cumberland County, North Carolina in 1860, where Louis was farming, and Catherane was taking care of the home and children.[7] By 1870 they were living in Stewartsville, Richmond county, North Carolina with duncan-16, John-13, Hector-9, and her mother Sarah McLean-86 in the home.[2]
