Christina McLennan was born in 1852 in Plockton, Ross-shire, Scotland, United Kingdom
In the 1861 census, Catherine Maclennan (42, ships master widow), children Kenneth (17, fisherman), Catherine (15), Donald (13), Flora (11), Ann (11), Christy (8) and Murdoch (5) are living at 11 Cooper Street, Plockton. All were born in Plockton[1]
Christina McLennan also married Mikel Nyland in 1871 in New Zealand[2] - Mikel died in 1874[3], and Christina Nyland remarried Donald MacDonald in 1878 [4]
Christina Macdonald died in 1943 in Masterton, New Zealand, aged 90[5].
A Christina McLennan (23) married Peter Dawson Young (38) (born in 1837) in 1876 in New Zealand[6], and this marriage was previously associated with this profile.
However "Clan Maclennan" website claims that Christina, daughter of John and Catherine from Plockton married Donald MacDonald, as does every ancestry.com profile - several from family members, as they have photographs. Without sighting the marriage certificate we can't say for sure, but there's no particular evidence supporting the marriage to Peter Dawson either. Until we get some, it seems to make sense to go with the majority view.
If there is evidence found supporting this profile's marriage to Peter Dawson we can revert this easily enough.
