Catherine travelled to Australia aboard the "William Nichol" accompanying her brother and sister-in-law and nephew ($yro) Farquhar. She married William Freeman in 1839 at pages river, and they selected property in the Guy Fawkes District, near the current town of Dundurrabin, next to her brother Alexander, and called their property "Greenwich Park," after William's place of origin.
When Catherine was about 28 she married William Freeman on 6 March 1839 in Muswellbrook NSW.
