Biography

Mary was the first child of Thomas and Rose McCormick McMahon, born when the family was living in Peel Township in Wellington County.[1] She was baptized on December 15, 1856 in St. Clement's Church in Waterloo Township. Her sponsors were Patrick Morris and Catherine McCormick, presumably her mother's sister.[2] The family was living in Wellesley township, Waterloo County by 1861[3]and remained there for many years.[4] Mary was still living with the family at age 25 in 1881.[5] She is not listed with her parents on the 1891 Canada Census.
