Biography
Mary Ann was the oldest of six children born to Thomas and Margaret Rafferty McMahon, perhaps born on her great-aunt Sarah's farm in Wellesley Township, while her father was working there.[1] By the age of 16, Mary had likely completed the standard eight years of schooling.[2]
When she was 23, Mary married John Finucan in Macton, at St. Joseph's Church. She had been working as a domestic servant in Peel Township.[3]They are the parents of ten children.
Mary died at age 92 in Ingersoll, Ontario and is buried with her husband in Sacred Heart Cemetery.[4]
