Biography

Lee Mcmillan wed Lena Peeler September 15, 1935 in Polk County, Arkansas as seen in an image of the original marriage register.^[1]

On April 1, 1935, Lee Mcmillian lived in Mena, Polk County, Arkansas.^[2]

Lee Mcmillian was enumerated as head of the household at Ward 1, Prescott, Missouri Township, Nevada County, Arkansas for the April 8, United States Census, 1940. He was noted as born 1914 in Texas and married. He rented a home and was shown to be a salesman (variety store) as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Lena Mcmillian and son William Mcmillian.^[2]

Lee was the mayor of Mena, Arkansas for many years. A park in the city was named in his honor and dedicated in 1974.
