• Alfred's Death Notice reads:
• McMILLAN, Alfred William - October 9th, 1987 late of the Cardinal Freeman Village, Ashfield, dearly loved son of Alfred and Helen McMillan (both deceased), dearly loved husband of Lucy (deceased), dearly loved brother of Bob, Madge (Mrs. Patterson), and Arthur (deceased), dearly loved brother-in-law of Phyllis and Allie Sheehy, fond uncle of his many nieces and nephews. Alf will be sadly missed by all who loved him, he would have liked time to say farewell and thanks to the kindly staff and many old friends at the Cardinal Freeman Village and to Lloyd and Beth Nathan." After Requiem Mass at the Cardinal Freeman Village Chapel, Victoria Street. Ashfield he was buried in the Catholic Lawn Cemetery, Rookwood. (Lawn 4, Plot 2243)
