Was a teacher in Eskasoni, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He Died between 1901 census and 1911 Canadian census. His sons’ marriage certificate stated in 1912 his father Roderick was deceased and that he was 53 years old when he passed.
In the very informative historical book writen by SR MacNeil, "All call Iona home" he stated that this Rory MacMillan was from the Red islands, that he lived in East Bay, and had a family with Margaret McNeil.
1891 census he and his family lived in Benacadie Cape Breton, nova scotia. Three daughters baptised in St. Columba church.
