Biography

Fanny Westphal McNab was born on 3 February 1844 in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia. ^[1] She married her cousin Sydenham Howe. ^[2] Fanny had the assistance of a domestic servant in 1871, an Irish Catholic girl named Mary Sanigan. ^[3] Fanny had the assistance of a domestic servant in 1881, and a widow named Sarah McVeah aged 73 lived with them. ^{[4] [5]} She still had a a servant in 1891. ^[6] By 1901, they had moved to Nictau, Annapolis, Nova Scotia where they remained. ^{[7] [8]} Fanny died on 23 January 1920 of arteriosclerosis in Middleton. ^[9] Her burial is recorded in Pine Grove Cemetery, Annapolis County. ^[10]
