Biography

Fanny Westphal McNab was born on 3 February 1844 in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia. [1] She married her cousin Sydenham Howe. [2] Fanny had the assistance of a domestic servant in 1871, an Irish Catholic girl named Mary Sanigan. [3] Fanny had the assistance of a domestic servant in 1881, and a widow named Sarah McVeah aged 73 lived with them. [4] [5] She still had a a servant in 1891. [6] By 1901, they had moved to Nictau, Annapolis, Nova Scotia where they remained. [7] [8] Fanny died on 23 January 1920 of arteriosclerosis in Middleton. [9] Her burial is recorded in Pine Grove Cemetery, Annapolis County. [10]
