John McNamara has Irish ancestors.

John McNamara, son of Michael McNamara and Mary Cloney, was baptised in October 1858 at Saint Augustines Catholic church in Kalamazoo, Michigan, by the Rev. Father I. A. Lebel. His godparents were Thomas and Mary Cloney. [1]

In 1860 John McNamara is recorded as being two years of age and living in the household of his father in Pavillion township, Kalamazoo county, Michigan. [2]
