In 1878, Thomas J. Mulvany and his family sailed on the Lady Jocelyn which departed London for Belfast and then to Auckland; arriving in New Zealand on the 8th August. [1] They travelled in second class with the second party to take upland in Katikati. They their named farm in Katikati "Bay View" [2]
