Biography
John was born in Prince Edward Island. John McNeill and Sarah Dockendorf were married in St. Paul Church of England in Charlottetown on 30 Nov 1832. [1] In 1870-71, John was listed in McAlpine's Maritime Province Directory as a farmer at Lower Milton in Lot 32, Prince Edward Island. [2] He died in 1873 and was buried in Cavendish Community Cemetery. [3]
They had the following children:

- Jane McNeill
- Christie McNeill born in 1837, married David Miller, d. 1898. [4]
- Clarinda McNeill (1843-1926) was born 6 Feb 1843 in PEI. She died 11 Feb 1926 in PEI. Clarinda McNeill married Arthur Simpson (1838-1922) on 7 Jan 1859 in PEI.
- Artemas McNeill was born in PEI. He died 23 Dec 1878 in PEI. Artemus married Agnes Simpson on 23 Nov 1869 in PEI. Agnes was born 13 Oct 1845 in PEI.
