Andrew Jackson McPheeters was born on 16 May 1844 in Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana, United States, son of Azariah McPheeters (1821–1885) and Susanah (Matthews) McPheeters (1826–1898).
Andrew had a sister, Eliza P. (McPheeters) McCall (1865–1946).
Andrew died on 18 Apr 1942 in Polk County, Missouri, United States. He was buried in Payne Cemetery, Polk, Polk County, Missouri.[1]
Andrew married Serena Ann (McCall) McPheeters (born on 5 Dec 1847 in Arkansas; daughter of Dr John McCall and Jency Adeline (Blackshear) McCall) on 24 Dec 1868 in Dallas Co., MO. Their known children were:
"Andy" was 18 years old when he enlisted in the Union Civil War, Company A of the 14th Calvalry S M. His duties took him out as far as Kansas Territory and Colorado Territory. He served as a private and a bugler until 1866.
