Andrew Scott McPheeters was born on 17 Mar 1802 in Grainger County, Tennessee, United States, son of Andrew McPheeters (1761–1850) and Achsah (Smith) McPheeters (1765–1837).

Andrew had a brother, John McPheeters (1783–1865).

Andrew died on 17 Jul 1829 in Claiborne, Tennessee, United States. He was buried in Roberts Cemetery, Grainger County, Tennessee.[1]

Andrew married Anna Griffith (born on 12 Oct 1802 in Claiborne, Tennessee, United States; daughter of Levi Griffith and Jane (shelton) Griffith) on 4 Jun 1820 in Claiborne, Tennessee, USA. Their known children were:

From his Find A Grave memorial: Andrew Scott McPheeters, "Esquire" was born to Andrew McPheeters and Achsah Smith McPheeters 17 Mar 1802 in Grainger Co., TN. He was a farmer in his early life, as well as, an apprentice to becoming a lawyer. Andrew Scott McPheeters married Anna Griffith 4 June 1820 in TN. He is the father of 5 children: Azariah McPheeters 1821-1885; Amanda McPheeters 1823- ; Alfred McPheeters 1824-1900; Malinda McPheeters 1827- ; Jane McPheeters 1829-1910.
