Joseph H. McPherson

Joseph Henry McPherson, 76, of Potomac Towers, died Monday at Washington County Hospital. He was born in Hagerstown, the son of Roy McPherson and Bessie Long Nalley. he was employed by Colonial Hardwood Flooring, retiring in 1969. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church. Also a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Hagerstown Lodge 212 fro 42 years. He was one of the founders of the Valley Ramblers of WJEJ in the early 1930s.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline V. Stevens McPherson; three daughters, Connie L. Grodon, of Falling Waters, W. VA, and Phyllis M. Thomas and Joanne Kelbaugh, both of Hagerstown; three sons, RObert N. McPherson of Falling Waters, Richard L. McPherson of Clear Spring and Howard F. McPherson; three half sisters, Mary Nave of Williamsport and Catherine Mowbry and Florence Jones, both of Hagertown; two half-brothers, William Nalley of Maugansville and Charles Nave of Tilghmanton; and 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 pm Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Markham officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Family will receive friends ath the funeral home today from 7 to 9 pm.
