James McPherson, residing at Montreal, Quebec, Canada, widower and merchant, son of John and Catherine McPherson & Helena Alberta Guelph Austin, residing at Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, spinster, daughter of William Augustus Austin and [[Bradley-5525 | Mary Justice (Bradley) Austin were married by licence at St Margaret's Parish, Russell County, Ontario in 1887. Helena was a member of the Church of England, while James was Presbyterian. At the time of their marriage, Helena was aged 22 years, while James was aged 53 years.[1]
