Father's Name: H. H. McVehil, Mother's Name: Rebecca Bird
Estella was a Mail Order bride. She was barely 16 when she left Washington, PA. by wagon; and journeyed to Gresham to marry John Gudgel. She was left a widow at age 21, with three young boys to care for. Her oldest son died of Bright's disease. She remarried Arthur P. Valentine, John's cousin.
