Biography

Francis was born on 9 April 1877 at Tamnaskeeny, Kildress, County Tyrone. He was the son of Patrick McWilliams and Mary Devlin. ^{[1] [2]}

In 1899 in County Durham, England, he married Annie Heslop. ^[3]

As of 1911 he was a coal miner and they lived on Gosforth St, Sunderland. His first two children had been born at Spennymoor.
