Biography

Malcolm MacAlpine was born in Edmonton in December 1910 and was with his parents in Pibroch in 1916 and 1921. In 1938 he married Grace Brownlee, from Glasgow, Scotland, in Brantford. They had two daughters. He served in the Canadian Army in World War II and in the Korean War. He died in1998.

Notes

The surname is sometimes spelled McAlpine, to Malcolm Roy MacAlpine's disgust.

Their children: 1. daughter born 1939, living in 2021. 2. Mary Frances MacAlipine born 10 December 1943 in Brantford; in 1966 married Richard Winfield "Rick" Sylver. Two children. Mary died in 2017 and Rick in 2019.
