Biography

John C. was born in 1793 in Amherst, Virginia. He was the son of Elijah Mcanally Sr. and Catherine Elizabeth (Skelton) McAnally.^[1]

Milit-Beg: 30 September 1812 in Roane, Tennessee. Note: in the War of 1812 serving in Captain William Neilsons' Company, 14th Regiment of the Tennessee militia.^[2]

Milit-End: 1 January 1813 in Kingston, Tennessee.^[2]

When John C. was about 24 he married Mary McPherson on 16 October 1817 in Brisco Cove, Indian Nation, Alabama. The couple had 5 children: Nancy Mcanally, Lewis Mcanally, Catherine Mcanally, Evelyn Thomas Mcannally and Rachael Mcanally.^[2]
