Biography

William was born 14 Jul 1741 in Rockingham, New Hampshire. He was the son of Richard Mccallister and Ann Miller. He passed away 17 Feb 1787 as given in the DAR record.

Ensign William Mccallister served with 18th Massachusetts Bay Provincial Regiment (1775), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

William served as Ensign, also Sergeant under Captains Josiah Stearns Stearns-1175(18th Massachusetts Bay), Nathaniel Alexander, Colonels Ephraim Doolittle Doolittle-95 18th and 24th MA and Wigglesworth. Also he paid the Continental Tax in 1780 in New Hampshire. His DAR record cites MA Soldiers & Sailors in the War of the Rev., Vol. 10, Pages 412, 413. [1]
