DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jeremiah by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jeremiah:
McCarty-808 and McCarty-4275 appear to represent the same person because: He has a wife named Sarah Brooks and a daughter named Elizabeth who married a Yeary. What I differ with is place of birth. Lee county did not exist in 1740. From Wikipedia: "The county was formed after the American Revolutionary War in 1792 from Russell County. It was named for Light Horse Harry Lee,[4]" My records show he was born in Loudon County, Virginia but even that is wrong since it was formed in 1757. But he and Sarah are married in and several children are born in Loudon Co.
