Biography
George Mckay was born on 15 Apr 1833 in Auchindoir, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. His parents were Robert Mckay (~1791 - 1862) and Margaret (Hardy) Mckay (~1800 - 1867).[1]
George married Ann Cow (1830 - 1900) on 13 June 1857 at Kearn, Aberdeenshire[2].
Their children are:
- Alexander Mckay (1857 - 1928)[3]
- Mary Christina Mckay born 23 August 1859, Kearn, Aberdeenshire[4]
- George Mckay born 18 February 1863, Kearn, Aberdeenshire[5]
- James Mckay born 1 January 1868, Keig, Aberdeenshire[6]
- William Charles Mckay born 13 May 1869, Tullynessle and Forbes and Kearn, Aberdeenshire[7]
George died on 1 May 1894 at Westgate, Breda, Aberdeenshire aged 61. Breda sits to the west just outside Alford.
