Biography

Ezra was born about 1802 and passed away about 1876

Ezra McKee first married Abigail Westcott on 11 May 1825 in Morgan County, Ohio.

Ezra McKee second married Almy G Wescott on 18 August 1836 in Morgan County, Ohio.

From Deed Records, it is known that Ezra had at least the following children.

  1. David E McKee, wife Margaret
  2. Sylvester McKee, wife Hannah E.
  3. Christopher McKee, wife Martha A.
  4. Manley McKee, wife Elizabeth
  5. Delia Davis
  6. Martha Poling
  7. Elizabeth McKee
  8. Mary Newton

On 19 October 1868, Ezra McKee bought from Otis R. Lippitt of Keokuk County, Iowa the NW ¼ of S20 T7 R9 containing 160 acres of land.

On 1 January 1871, Ezra McKee and wife Almey sold to Manley McKee 100 acres of land from NW ¼ of S20 T7 R9 . This left Ezra with 60 acres of land in S20.

On 4 May 1876, David E McKee and wife Margaret, Sylvester McKee and wife Hannah E., Christopher McKee and wife Martha A., Manley McKee and wife Elizabeth and Alma McKee (the widow) sold their share of those 60 acres to Delia Davis, Martha Poling, Elizabeth McKee and Mary Newton.
