Biography

Son of Robert McKenney and Nancy Ruth Hartwell. His father Robert died in 1850. Adopted by Nancy's second husband Sherburne, who was also Robert's brother.

Served in US Army 1861-1864, with C Co, 9th Maine Infantry. Honorable discharge.

Married wife Augusta Avilda Cole on 1866-12-09 in Penobscot, Hancock, ME. Children include:
