Biography

Alfred was born about 1803 (based on spacing of the kids) and died after 1810. He is one of the 3 sons under 10 on the 1810 census.

Although mentioned in the Mead Family book (History and genealogy of the Mead family of Fairfield County, Connecticut, eastern New York, western Vermont, and western Pennsylvania, from A.D. 1180 to 1900 by S. P. Mead) he must have died young as he is not mentioned in the 1849 probate notices of his father, as his siblings were. It is possible that he is the Amos Mead buried alongside Matthias Mead in Beeman Cemetery in Clarence, New York.
