Unfortunately, Eldad (b 21 Aug 1767) and his brother, Eli (b 28 Mar 1762), are often reported by online databases to be sons of their grandfather, Jonathan Mead. The original source of this mis-information is not known. They were both sons of Eli Mead and Mercy Homes.[1]

Eldad was a son of Eli Mead and Mercy Homes/Holmes.[1] They were married at South Amenia, Dutchess County Church in New York.[1] Eldad's father, Eli Mead, was taxed at Northeast Precinct from 1763-1770.[1]
