Yes, all the Abners are hard to untangle. The Mayflower book mentioned below has this Abner's father as Silas and his mother as Sarah. History of the town of Greenwich by Daniel Mead and CT town records both indicate that Silas's wife was Mary. Sarah was too young to be Silas' wife and Caleb's mother.
Mead-206 and Mead-864 do not represent the same person because: These two Abners have different fathers. There were at least 5 Abner Meads living in NY and CT in that time period
According to MayFlower Silver book Abner was the son if Silas Mead. (Ann Smith Lainhart & Jane Fletcher Fiske FASG, Compilers, Mayflower Families Thourgh Five Generations: Descendants of the Pilgrims who landed at Plymouth, Massachusetts, in December 1620, volume twenty-three part three (Plymouth Massachusetts 02360: General Society of Mayflower Descendants, 2012), [pg 153].)
Mead-864 and Mead-206 appear to represent the same person because: Same person

According to Doherty in "Beekman Patent," Abner was the son of Amos Mead. (Doherty, Frank J., The Settlers of the Beekman Patent, V.1-8: The Mead Family (Vol 8, Pg 725) New England Historic Genealogical Society, American Ancestors).

I disconnected him from Darius Mead.
