Biography

David Meade was born in Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia.

David Meade was sent from Virginia to England as a seven-year-old for his education. He entered a prep school and then educated at Harrow. [1] David Meade's education was then finished with two years of classics at Dalton and three years of the arts at Fullers in London. He returned home after 10 years abroad.

David Meade's home was "La Chaumiere du Prairie" in Kentucky - click here for a description of the property [2] here for a drawing of the house [3] and a book describing the estate was published in 1983 "La Chaumiere Des Prairie": An 18th Century Pictorial Landscape Garden in Frontier America [4]

David Meade II was born in Nansemond Virginia at his father's plantation. David first moved to Maycox Plantation in Prince George County Virginia and moved to Kentucky in 1796. He stayed with his brother Richard Kidder Meade near Winchester before making the trek to Kentucky. Meade-250 and Meade-32 appear to represent the same person because: Your David Meade (250) is the same David Meade (32) that is my ancestor that I manage. I've researched the dates and relationships of this individual and propose merging (250) into (32).

Meade-846 and Meade-250 appear to represent the same person because: lack of dates meant the duplicate didn't show up when the second entry was made
