I talked with Allene Bradley, his niece and she told me the following:
William Nathan Meade was from Russell Co., he was born 1899 son of James :Henry Meade and Ellen Kate Herd/Hurd.
Grandparents were Daniel E. Meade and Judea Rebecca Moore.
GG Grandparents were Nathan Tucker Meade and Mary Elizabeth Jessee/
3rd GG Grandparents were Fielding Lewis Meade and Mary Thacker.
4th GG Grandparents were Henry Meade and Frances Young.
5th GG Grandparents were Thomas Meade and Johannes Cuntze.
This branch of Meades were mostly from Russell Co..Hope this helps.
Note: William Garret-- court appointed as guardian to Thomas Mead's orphans, being all under 14 years old on Nov 16 1770. Spotsylvania Minute Book 1768 - 1774, pg. 137. Bond of William Garret as guardian to William, Thornton, and Minor Mead, orphans of Thomas Mead, dec'd 11-16-1770.
Thomas was originally listed as a son of Andrew. If the dates are looked at closely, this is a virtual impossibility. Though it makes more sense that he is a grandchild of Andrew, he is not proven to be child of David.
Listed as possible father of Henry and Noted in Pittsylvania and Essex Cos by E. McCallum He is listed as such by C. Vance and J. Wallace. Bob Hancock believes Henry's father is John Meade whose father was a brother of this Thomas (the father of Wm. Thornton and Minor).
He bases this belief on the Orphans Return in Louisa Co. and The obvious close family connection since Wm, Thornton and Minor were witnesses or sureties at Henry's wedding. E. McCallum lists marriage recorded p. 360 Louisa Co., VA Marriage Register 1766-1861, 5-3-1781

NOTE: This Meade genealogy [2] says Thomas Meade born c. 1715 was the son of Andrew Meade and Mary Latham, however Andrew Meade and Mary Laham had only two surviving children - David and Priscilla Meade [3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

Is anyone actively working on Thomas Meade's origins and his possible connection to David and Susannah Everard? I believe I'm a descendant of Thomas. I've encountered a number of issues with him, besides the lack of evidence that he is a son of David and Susannah. Thomas is recorded as being married to Johannes Cuntze. I've been unable to find any documentation proving this marriage and would like to learn the source if anyone knows. Thomas is said to have been in Spotsylvania county, an area associated with Alexander Spotswood and his Germanna settlements of 1714-1725. Cuntze is a name associated with Germanna, HOWEVER Johannes is definitely a male name, not female. Does anyone have any wisdom to offer here? My Meade's have had a long association with Virginia and Russell county in particular. Their roots certainly predate the American Revolution.

Apparently he had been removed once inn2015 and I guess from what I can tell a merge was done that added him back to David and Susannah. I am in agreement that he needs to have David and Susannah removed.

why is he attached as son of David & Susannah?

from this profile's biography: This Dickenson genealogy [1] says that Thomas Meade descends from David Meade and Susanna Everard, however this is incorrect, several contemporary family biographies for David and Susanna Meade are available and nowhere is there found in that family, a Thomas Meade.

Have removed Thomas Meade from the family of David Meade & Susanna Everard because no lists in the many available contemporary family histories include a child called "Thomas"

removed Thomas Meade as child of David Mead and Mary Latham as no child of this name appears in the Chaumiere Papers "containing matters of interest to descendants of David Meade" a biography by his grandson, also David Meade

I am a DNA match (along with 2 others) to Thomas Meade and Johanna Cuntze on Ancestry. They are my 6x's great grandparents. My mother has also been tested and they show as her 5x's great grandparents. I have information on subsequent generations of the family.
Meade-261 and Meade-41 appear to represent the same person because: Dates, parents match.
