Biography

Susanna was born about 1750. She died after 1825 when she was mentioned in the will of her husband, John Basham.

• The wife of John Basham, Sr. was definitely named Susanna. However, no source for Frances or Meadows has been located as yet. Additional research needed on Susanna who may be an Unknown surname, not Meadows nor a Frances. BJS
• The original death date of July 1854 for this profile was incorrect. That death date is for Frances (Meador) Basham (abt.1787-1854), daughter of Jesse Meador (1751-bef.1821) and possibly Lucy (Hix) Meador (1756-1823), who was married to John Basham Jr (1780-1858), the son of John Basham (1755-1826). As John Basham (1755-1826) in 1826, he could not have reported the death of his wife in 1854.
• Even though the person reporting the death of Frances (Meador) Basham (abt.1787-1854), was listed as John Basham, Sr., he was not the elder John Basham but the son.^[1]
