Reason Mobley Meador was born in 1826 in Alabama, United States.[1][2] He was the son of John Vines Meador and his first wife, Mary Brazile.[3] In 1830, he would have been living with his parents in Greene County, Alabama.[4]
Marriages
Reason's first wife was named Sarah, family name unknown. They married about 1850 and appear in the 1850 Census in Pontotoc County, Mississippi.[5] They were the parents of thee children, who were born in Navarro County, Texas[3].[1]
Sarah died about 1856. Reason married his second wife, Sarah Stultz, about 1857 in Parker County, Texas.[3]
By 1870 Reason and family were back in Navarro County, Texas .[1]
In 1880, Reason and his family were in Jack County, Texas.[2] They continued to live there, appaearing in the household of their son George in the 1900 Census.[6]
Death and Burial
Reason is said to have died in Jack County, Texas, either in 1900 or 1909, and is assumed to be buried in the Gibtown Cemetery, Gibtown, Jack County, Texas.[7][3]
