Immigration: ca 1865 Tasmania to Victoria, and before 1885, to United States of America. However on one census it's claims she arrived in USA as late as 1895, but that might be (as yet unfound) a naturalisation date. ^[5]

Marriage Frank Montgomery 14 APR 1908. Manhattan, New York, New York, United States of America. ^[6]

Note N6389 The Mercury (Hobart, Tas. : 1860 - 1954) Tuesday 6 September 1864 BIRTH MEDLEY - At the Duke of Clarence Hotel, corner of Liverpool and Murray street, September 5th, the wife   of Mr. Hubert Medley, of Rokeby, Clarence Plains, of a daughter. ^[7]

Isaac PEAR's Will (1885) provided for Charlotte Pear Medley of America. He bequested half his estate to her elder sister upon his demise, and half was set outside for her mother to use the interest of. Her sister then got an outright third, and she and her brother shared equally in the other two thirds, less £100 for the bequest to her cousin Isaac Pear BARRY. ^[8]

No doubt, the executors had to track her down to receive her share, after her mother's death in 1903! We should be able to find her in census records of 1890/91, AND 1900/01 somewhere…. as MEDLEY, before she married Frank in 1908.
