Biography

Ethel was my maternal grandmother and a close member of our family. After marrying Alvin Paulson and starting a family they built a house on Golden Gate avenue, Stockton, Ca. There they raised their children. She and Alvin divorced @1930 (?) and she went to work in a cannery to help support her children and was a religious woman attending church weekly. Many of the friends were neighbors and most were in communication until their deaths. In the 1960's she sold the house and moved to a granny flat in the rear of her son Arts Paulson's home on Delaware Ave in Stockton, CA. Years later she moved to San Jose to be near her daughter Edith Sharp. She was a good woman and had a sad life. She did not know her mother as she left the family as an infant and was raised by uncles and aunts while her father worked. ^[1]
