Revolutionary War compensation records show that Silas received compensation for a gun that was taken from him for use by the Militia. Furthermore, his brother William was married to Lettice, and she received an allowance for a gun, presumably taken for use by the military.[2]

Hi, I was hoping you could help with a question I have... How do you know that Silas' middle name was Farr? Other family sites have Thomas' middle name as Farr. I guess they could both have the same middle name, but seems unusual. Thanks, Valerie
