Susie Newell Melville^[1] was born on January 2, 1885, in Walsh, North Dakota. She married Ferdinand Forrest Sorrels^[2] on July 5, 1910. They had three children during their marriage. She died on October 23, 1948, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, at the age of 63, and was buried in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
